우리 주변에서는 생명을 갖고 있는 나무와 꽃, 나비, 개구리 등 여러가지 생물체를 쉽게 만나볼 수 있어요. 생물은 성장하고 변화한답니다. 그럼 이 책에서 그들이 어떻게 성장하고 변화해 가는지 알아보아요.

아기때 사진부터 지금 현재의 모습의 사진들을 나이 순서에 맞게 준비한 후에 아이가 얼마나 성장했는지에 대해 사진을 보며 이야기 나눠보세요.

Child It's me. Mom Look at this one. Do you remember? Child I know. Mom You ate the ice cream. You were so cute. Ummm. How old you were? Child Five or six. Mom How about this picture? Mom What do you see here? Child I see some green grass, a caterpillar, an egg, a butterfly. Mom Great. The title is See How it Grows. What is growing in this picture? Child The butterfly. Mom How does the butterfly grow? The first. A butterfly lays an egg on the leaf. What happen next? Child It grows a caterpillar. Mom It hangs onto a leaf. And It grows, grows… It grows a chrysalis. What happen next? Child A beautiful butterfly. Mom Well done!

Mom How does the frog grow? Child It grows from the egg. Mom And then What happen next? Child A tadpoles hatch from the eggs. Mom What does it look like? They grow, grow .. Child It looks like a fish. Mom They grow, grow… Child A baby frog. Mom We can call the froglet. Then let's look at the book. (손가락으로 글자를 가리키며) See how the frog grows. (그림을 가리키면서 설명해주세요.) From the egg, a tadpole comes out. As a tadpole grows up, it grows legs and its tail gets short. When the tail finally disappears, it becomes a frog.
