Brian: Andy, I heard that you’re laid off. Is that right? Andy: Yeah. I’m between jobs now. Brian: It’s hard to believe that. You held the sales record for several years. Andy: Yeah. But there was a huge cut-down. Brian: You’re still young.  Pull yourself together, and let’s start over.   Brian: Andy! 해고 당했다며… 사실이야? Andy: 응. 나 이제 백수야. Brian: 말도 안돼. 너 지난 몇 년 동안 판매 실적 괜찮았잖아. Andy: 그래, 그래도 많이들 잘렸어. Brian: 넌 아직 젊으니까, 기운 내서 다시 시작해봐.

“Pull something together”는 뭔가 흐트러진 것을 묶어서 정돈한다는 뜻으로 이런 기운을 북돋우는 말을 ‘pep talk’이라고 합니다. 낙망하고 지쳐 힘들어 하는 친구에게 써보세요^^
